Right, it has been a while, and when I saw that the 'recent blogs' part of the site was empty, I figured that something had to be done. Also, the many questions I got about when there would be a new blog stacked up and I have to keep you readers satisfied ofcourse, all 3 of you...

Soooooo, Lich King has been here for quite some days, Hammy, Luna and Rifker as far as I know are being hardcore and I followed Ajunix on foot on his epic 'I-have-no-life-and-I-don't-need-food' road to 80. I tried to buy some of his XTC but he claimed he didn't have any, he must have had legendary coffee then I guess, any insight on this will be very appreciated.

I for myself aren't that hardcore at the moment, I was when TBC released, and my experience was that I got very fucking bored at level 70, having to pug my first heroics and not being able to play with my guildies back then. This time I choose for the slacking side of leveling, I must admit that the adding of Achievements had a huge part in this though. I wanted to get the Realm First Master Angler, as many might know, but since my download only completed half past midnight on the release, and I heard the servers to Northrend were open for hours at that time I decided not to try. A couple of hours later though when still no one had achieved I tried my luck supposing no one else tried for it. At about 7 in the morning some horde got it when I was about halfway when fishing for 2,5 hours... My math isn't awesome but I calculated that if I started as soon as I got online I would've gotten it instead. QQ!!!!!!

So I failed and only have myself to blame, story of my life really, after that I decided to just go and explore the starting area's a bit more and quest a bit here and there, trying to get into a leveling mood and maybe catch up a bit to Swiftheart at that moment. That went pretty fine actually, I got a bit annoyed with the quests not being about just killing stuff mindlessly, but that was fine eventually, until something awesome happened...

The powerlevelers got into Dalaran and slowly people were getting summoned inside through the battlegrounds, obiously I couldn't resist this and got myself a battleground queue. That was when it all went wrong...

I didn't took us that long to find the fountain, and pretty fast we figured out how the coin fishing worked, no quests, no nothing, just fish like a retard. Not even is fishing by itself pretty awesome, getting achievements with it rocks even more, but the quotes you can read on the coins made it all perfect. Just one example: Kel'Thuzad's Gold Coin "Sometimes... I wish someone would come along and just give me a big, long hug." You will probably understand how these quotes made doing this achievement hilarious and almost legendary, I'm sure that fellow fishermen of the first hour Alys and Phyl agree with me.

I didn't expect it but it didn't even take that long to complete, maybe the 3 of us are just totally imba (and that's actually the reason I believe, hence that I go and join the fishermen at the fountain now and then and casually flip my coin ^^) or it's just not that hard as I expected. I was tempted to go and get the giant rat after that from the sewers but got bored with it pretty fast (like 200 casts fast).

My weekend leveling got interupted by I Love Techno, which wasn't that bad, but I was really wasted sunday so leveling was the last thing on my mind. So Alys and me went exploring! Now you don't have to believe me, but that was one of the most awesome things I did ingame in the last few months, you might not remember how it went, but I'm pretty sure everyone ran the wrong way once and ended up in some kind of evil village with level ?? mobs. I can't describe the exploring better, and trust me, even with tank spec and gear, which is pretty good, I was sooooooooooooooo glad I had a healer along with me, you don't want to know. I didn't count the times we died, neither intended or not, and I'll probably don't have a clue how we did it when I fly past all those spots in 4 levels time on my mount, but really, it was awesome. I do recommend it to everyone that isn't 67 yet, it even gives quite a shitload of experience anyway, and trust me, you'll have more fun with it then when you're flying around on your mount. I for one will wear my Explorer title with pride for the next 7 levels or until I get Salty. If you want any tips on how to reach any places just let me know, I'm glad to help.

For now, I'm done, you're updated on most of the things I did since the release of Lich King, and I'll probably start leveling Slacktea on a more serious note starting tonight.

Slack out.

I was there for the most part of these events and I have to say one thing... This expansion became 100% pure fun from the moment we stepped into Dalaran for the first time on that fateful night Tongue

And yeah I totally agree on the exploration thing. It must be the first time since I was a true newbie (having no clue where I am going, accidentally engaging into potentially suicidal exploration trips) that I've had such a feeling of achievement and discovery...

I hope the feeling remains throughout the trip to 80, because it's really been a blast Laughing out loud
